Daycare is great for both parents and kids!

Most people think that daycare in Columbia is only beneficial for parents. After all, it makes it possible for working parents to hold a job and have a family. However, daycare is also a great thing for children as well! Kids can benefit from daycare at A World of Discoveries in many ways, and the following is a list of just a few of those benefits:

#1. Fewer Emotional Issues

Daycare not only helps to prepare children for their educational future, it also prepares them for well-adjusted lives. In fact, one study that was published in the JAMA Psychiatry journal found that children who had depressed mothers and who attended daycare were less likely to develop emotional issues, such as anxiety and social withdrawal, than those who didn’t attend daycare.

#2. Fewer Colds

While it is common for young children in daycare to develop ear infections and respiratory problems, it sets them up for future health. Attending daycare at a young age helps to build a child’s immune system, and that is probably why children who attended daycare when they were young develop fewer colds and other illnesses throughout elementary school.

#3. Educational Success

Daycare helps to set up children for future educational success. Studies have shown that the socialization, observation and other skills that children learn in daycare help them to have higher intellectual abilities than children who do not attend daycare.
